Want to help tackle traffic? Want to do your bit for the environment? Want to win great prizes? You can do the lot in less than 10 minutes.
The Bay of Plenty District Health Board (BOPDHB) is today (Monday 30 July) launching its BOPDHB Travel Survey, looking at travel patterns and behaviours around and between its Tauranga and Whakatane hospital sites. Members of the public are being asked for their input and as a reward can win some great prizes.
“We want to know about your journeys, what influences your transport choice, the challenges you face?” said Medical Officer of Health Dr Phil Shoemack, who is part of the organising committee. “We’ll be asking staff, patients and visitors about their commute, parking, and what could be done to improve transport options across our hospital sites.”
The easiest way to access the survey is online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/
Prizes being given away to survey respondents include bike shop vouchers ($20, $30 and $50), preloaded bus cards ($40 value), coffee vouchers and a grand prize of a week-long e-bike trial.
These will be issued weekly and on a spot prize basis, and the grand prize will be announced at the end of the three-week survey period. The survey finishes on Friday 17 August.
“The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and the information will be used to explore sustainable travel alternatives and innovative options to create a BOPDHB Travel Plan that supports the health of our people and our environment,” explained Dr Shoemack.
Updates and prize winner announcements will be posted on the Bay of Plenty District Health Board Facebook page.
