DOGGYWOOD

The 2018 Doggy Day Out will be held on Saturday, 28 April – at the Omokoroa Western Ave Sportsground, having been postponed due to the weather last weekend.

This is the fourth annual Doggy Day Out event

– a day dedicated to the dogs that always draws the crowds.

The theme is ‘DOGGYWOOD’, so dress your pooch up as a famous star to enter the Star of the Day competition.

Entertainment will include a variety of events, demonstrations and fun for the kids

Council’s Adopt a Dog team will be on the grounds with the latest dogs for adoption having their day out to meet the public.

The day will include

  • Performances from the Tauranga and Mt Maunganui agility clubs
  • Market stalls and food
  • Competitions (Star of the Day best dressed dog)
  • Bouncy castles and other activities for the kids
  • A dog-only swimming pool
  • A photo booth to capture that perfect pic with your K9 friend
  • Dog groomers on site to pamper your pooch
  • Microchipping and dog registration services.

Council welcomes anyone who may like to set up a stall for the day

This is a fun, free event for the whole family – see you there – Saturday, 28 April from 10am to 2pm.
