Well, “Vintage & Retro” to be precise. On Saturday 18 November this year, Greerton Village will be hosting the long awaited and previously cancelled Vintage & Retro Fayre in the Village itself and the grounds of Greerton Village School.
The event was planned for January and February earlier this year and attracted a lot of interest, however mother nature had other ideas and sent a weather bomb resulting in the cancellation.
‘Gin Ricky Jive’ performing live
Mainstreet Manager, Sally Benning contacted all of the 40+ stall holders to see if she could secure a date later in the year and the great news was that 75% remained booked-in and so we are looking to have 40+ stalls selling all things ‘Vintage & Retro’ in the school grounds. In addition, “Gin Rickey Jive” will be performing on the school Rotunda playing modern songs but in a vintage/jazz theme.
Classic and Vintage cars on display
The BOP Vintage Car club members will be proudly showing off their Vintage & Classic cars in part of Chadwick Road which will be closed off to the public.
We are encouraging ladies and gents to dress up in theme and there will be a Best Dressed Lady & Gent competition at 12 noon on the Rotunda.
High Tea to be served
High Teas will be served by “A Splendid Afternoon” – served in beautiful china – tickets on sale now at Greerton Unichem Pharmacy and MD’s Leatherworks. Get tickets today as they must be pre-purchased.
Prepare to join us in Greerton Village between 10am – 2pm on Saturday 18 November and turn on the Vintage. All enquiries to Greerton Village Community Association 571 6347, or email: office@greertonvillage.org.nz.
