No more shivering in the wind and rain at Te Ariki Park in Maungatapu, home stomping ground of the 2016 Baywide Premier Champions, Rangataua Sports and Cultural Club, thanks entirely to the generosity of David Little of Ideal Buildings Tauranga donating two side-line team shelters to the Club.
“I just wanted to make it more comfortable for the team and managers and also visiting teams, “said David, “It’s not something a Club prioritises their spending on, so I just thought I’d help out.”
The back of the Rangatua team shelter is adorned with a papaka (crab) painted by Tauranga urban artist Tautoko Matehaere (a.k.a Sept), who’s work can also be enjoyed at the Pop-Up Park Art site in Devonport Road in Tauranga city.
So, if you’re also thinking about a shed or garage at your place, why not give our local lad David a call at Ideal Buildings, he is always happy to chat.
Lastly, our thanks to Tauranga photographer, Andy Belcher, who used his secret powers to remove all the shadows from the inside of the shelter!
