Morehu Day Aotearoa 2017 was hosted by Tauranga Moana on 18th November 2017
The Saturday morning pōwhiri was held at Te Pa o Te Ariki (Te Ariki Park), 450 Maungatapu Road, Maungatapu, Tauranga, where the visitors were led in by an impressive contingent of representatives from seven Rātana bands:
- Arepa (Ratana)
- Omeka (Whangarei)
- Piriwiritua (Kaikohe)
- Hāmuera (Hastings)
- Te Reo o Te Ratana Tuatoru (Bay of Plenty)
- Nga tuahine (Whanganui Atara – Wellington region)
- Whaea O te katoa (South Island)
